Selling NUT tokens on the OTC Platform is FREE and fast! Using EIP-712 cryptographic signatures, you can create listings in under 1 minute with zero gas fees. Your NUT tokens are secured in admin escrow until a buyer completes payment. This guide will walk you through the entire process.

How to Sell NUT Tokens
Navigate to the Sell Page
Click the "Sell" tab in the OTC Platform header to access the sell order creation page.
Enter Sale Details
Fill in the required information for your sell listing:
- Amount of NUT: How many NUT tokens you want to sell
- Price per NUT (USD): Your asking price in USD (e.g., $1.50)
- Total Value: Automatically calculated (Amount × Price in USD)
- Payment Network: Hoodi Testnet (for receiving payments)
USD Pricing: You set your price in USD. Buyers will choose whether to pay with CCUSD or CCEU (both valued at 1:1 USD) when they purchase from you.
Review Your Listing
Double-check all details before creating the order:
- Verify the amount of NUT tokens is correct
- Confirm your price is competitive but profitable
- Ensure you selected the correct payment method
- Review the total value you'll receive
Sign Your Listing (FREE - No Gas!)
Click "Create Listing". MetaMask will prompt you to sign a message (not a transaction):
- MetaMask shows "Sign Message" (NOT "Confirm Transaction")
- Review the structured message showing your listing details
- Click "Sign" - this is completely FREE, no gas fees
- Signing takes 1-2 seconds

Listing Created Successfully!
Your listing is now live on the marketplace. Here's what happens:
Immediately:
- Your listing appears in the marketplace
- Your NUT tokens move to admin escrow (secured for you)
- You see your listing in "My Listings"
When a buyer purchases:
- Buyer sends payment in CCUSD or CCEU
- You receive the stablecoin payment immediately
- Buyer receives the NUT tokens
- Listing updates to show remaining amount (if partial purchase)
Managing Your Sell Orders
Cancelling an Order
You can cancel your sell order anytime before a buyer purchases. Navigate to "My Orders", find your active sell order, and click "Cancel". Your escrowed NUT tokens will be returned to your wallet.
Partial Orders
The platform supports partial fills. If you're selling 1,000 NUT and someone buys 300 NUT, your order remains active for the remaining 700 NUT at the same price.
Order History
All completed, active, and cancelled orders are visible in your order history. You can view transaction details, timestamps, and counterparty addresses.

How to Set Competitive USD Prices
- Check Current Market: Review existing listings to understand current USD prices
- Consider Demand: Lower prices sell faster, higher prices maximize profit
- No Gas Fees for Listing: Your listing creation is FREE, so price based on demand and competition
- Be Realistic: Extremely high prices compared to market may never sell
- Update if Needed: Cancel and recreate listings if market conditions change (also FREE!)
- USD = Universal: Since all prices are in USD, buyers understand the value immediately
Important Security & Best Practices
Best Practices for Sellers
- Verify you're on the correct network (CopyrightChains for NUT, Hoodi for receiving payments) before creating listings
- Double-check amounts and prices - 1 NUT vs 1000 NUT and $1.50 vs $15.00 make huge differences
- Review the message in MetaMask before signing - EIP-712 signatures are readable and show your listing details
- No gas fees needed for listing creation! But keep a small amount of ETH on Hoodi for potential network switches
Common Issues
"Insufficient Balance" Error
This means you don't have enough NUT tokens in your CopyrightChains wallet to create the listing. Check your NUT balance on the CopyrightChains network and make sure you have the amount you want to sell.
"Signature Request Cancelled"
You rejected the signature request in MetaMask. This happens when you click "Reject" or close the MetaMask popup. Just click "Create Listing" again and approve the message signature when prompted.
Listing Not Appearing Immediately
After signing, your listing should appear almost instantly (2-3 seconds). If it doesn't appear after 10 seconds, try refreshing the page. Your listing is secure in the admin escrow.
MetaMask Wrong Network
Make sure MetaMask is set to CopyrightChains (Chain 1199) when signing the listing. If it's on a different network, you'll get an error. Switch networks in MetaMask and try again.
