Configure MetaMask for the OTC Platform in minutes

Overview

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that runs as a browser extension. It's required to interact with the OTC Platform. This guide will walk you through installation, network configuration, and token setup.

Step 1: Install MetaMask

Download MetaMask

Visit the official MetaMask website and download the extension for your browser:

Supported Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge

Security Warning

Only download MetaMask from the official website. Fake versions may steal your funds.

Create or Import Wallet

New Users: Click "Create a Wallet" and follow the setup wizard

Existing Users: Click "Import Wallet" and enter your 12-word recovery phrase

Critical: Save Your Recovery Phrase

  • Write down all 12 words in order
  • Store them in a safe, offline location
  • NEVER share your recovery phrase with anyone
  • Anyone with your phrase can access your funds

Step 2: Add Required Networks

Add CopyrightChains Network

This is where your NUT tokens are stored:

Currency Symbol: NUT

How to Add:

  1. Click the network dropdown at the top of MetaMask
  2. Click "Add Network" or "Custom Network"
  3. Enter the details above
  4. Click "Save"

Add Hoodi Testnet

This is where payment tokens (CCUSD/CCEU) and gas fees (ETH) are located:

Network Name: Hoodi Testnet
RPC URL: https://rpc.hoodi.ethpandaops.io
Chain ID: 560048
Currency Symbol: ETH
Block Explorer: https://hoodi.etherscan.io

Gas Requirements: Keep 0.01+ ETH on this network for transaction fees (~0.004 ETH per purchase)

Step 3: Add Payment Tokens

Add CCUSD Token

Important: Switch to Hoodi Testnet first!

CCUSD (Hoodi Testnet)

Token Contract: 0x6Ff79EE1aDe0351DB1012D7eEfCf5A5737A033b5
Token Symbol: CCUSD
Decimals: 18

How to Add Token:

  1. Switch to Hoodi Testnet in MetaMask
  2. Click "Import Tokens" at the bottom
  3. Paste the contract address above
  4. Symbol and decimals should auto-fill
  5. Click "Add Custom Token" then "Import Tokens"

Add CCEU Token

Follow the same process for CCEU:

Security Best Practices

Protect Your Wallet

  • Never share your private key or recovery phrase
  • Use a strong, unique password for MetaMask
  • Lock MetaMask when not in use
  • Always verify the website URL before connecting your wallet
  • Review transaction details carefully before confirming
